Genesio ha una storia particolarmente ricca: \u00e8 stato tribunale, parrocchia, osteria e scuola, ma anche sala prove per la banda musicale e locale per l\u2019attivit\u00e0 associazionistica con tanto di palcoscenico teatrale. Una parte della struttura risale addirittura al XIV secolo. L\u2019edificio \u00e8 situato nella piccola frazione di Valas, che, al di fuori di una scuola elementare, possiede ben poche infrastrutture. I dintorni sono caratterizzati dalle coltivazioni agricole, dall\u2019allevamento di bestiame, dai boschi e dalla Natura. Mentre un tempo apparteneva al convento Muri Gries, oggi \u00e8 di propriet\u00e0 privata. Nell\u2019estate del 2008, come parte del programma di eventi paralleli di Manifesta 7, la biennale europea dedicata all\u2019arte contemporanea, il Taberhof ha ospitato <strong>l\u2019Istituto per gli studi alpini.<\/strong> In quell\u2019occasione, artist* di livello internazionale vi lavorarono per diverse settimane allo scopo di realizzare progetti dentro e intorno al maso.<\/p>\\n<p class=\\\"_Default\\\">Il 10 settembre 2022, in occasione dell\u2019esposizione <strong><em><a href=\\\"http:\/\/taberhof.net\/it\/solanum\/\\\">SOLANUM<\/a>,<\/em><\/strong> il Taberhof riaprir\u00e0 i battenti nelle vesti di <strong>Istituto per l\u2019agricoltura alternativa, l\u2019arte contemporanea e la vita nelle periferie,<\/strong> riunendo quindi in s\u00e9 tutti i diversi usi del passato e tornando a essere ci\u00f2 che, fondamentalmente, \u00e8 sempre stato: un vivace luogo di incontro comunitario. Temi tratti da settori quali l\u2019arte figurativa e recitativa, la ricerca, la scienza, l\u2019agricoltura e l\u2019arte vi saranno proposti in maniera sintetica grazie a format come mostre, workshop, letture, spettacoli teatrali (la struttura dispone di un proprio palcoscenico).
